National Gallery of Art and Archives

Today I visited the Nat'l Archives. You can see the Constitution, Articles of Confederation, and the Bill of Rights in one room. Of course, it's the most crowded room ever, filled with schoolchildren dressed in identical t-shirts all in blinding neon colors. Luckily no one wanted to see the Magna Carta, which I think is the most important document anyway.

Right outside the Archive is the Naval Memorial (forefront).

Then I visited the National Gallery of Art. It has two buildings, old stuff and new stuff. The American wing in the old building is closed for renovation (disappointing).

The East side has a ton of Calder stuff.

More Calder stuff.

And then I went home....it's rainy and windy today.
